So There I Was... 26 Jan 2006
[ mood | cheerful ]

It was a simple idea, you know. There I was, minding my own business and happily playing my Pokemon Emerald when the thing died. Armand won't buy me a rechargable one yet. Geez, lose four or twenty GameBoys, and he acts like it's a huge financial dent.

Anyways, it's one am, my batteries are dead, and I can't find anymore. Truth be told, I had somewhat forgotten where I was. See, these are the problems of being a drunken mortal when... well, you get the idea. So here I am in the middle of the night walking down to the cornre store.

I'm not quite sure how I ended up on Dearborn Avenue in Chicago, but I bet it was a hell of a journey. Just for future reference, if you have to call a friend (Maker or otherwise) in the middle of the night because you're lost, it's probably a good idea to break it to them gently that you have no idea where you are instead of asking them just where in the city (you know, the one where you're supposed to be) Dearborn Avenue is. I wouldn't have thought that someone's fury could be transmitted so well over hundred or thousands of miles. Wow. I've never been happier that I don't have a video phone. Spared me having to see it.

I did get my batteries though. *grins cheerfully*

I think my phase with squirrels has passed. I often wish something could hold my attention for more than what feels like a few days or weeks. Nothing is ever stable for long, but perhaps that's merely human nature.
